Follow the river over five days, traversing two reserves and the surrounding farmland, with new lodging every two nights. Passing through deep gorges, cantering beside the river, stopping over at waterfalls and paddling across a river!

Location
Our rides are based in the vibrant uMgeni River Valley, close to Pietermaritzburg in KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa.

We explore a diverse and scenic landscape that includes Fountain Hill Estate, Cumberland Nature Reserve, and the surrounding farmland. The terrain is a rich mix of rolling grasslands, dramatic gorges, forested hills, sugarcane fields, dams, streams, and hidden waterfalls.
