Beginning at the horses' home farm, this seven-day journey travels through reserve lands, river valleys, forests, grasslands, and farmland, revealing the remarkable diversity of the uMgeni Valley from horseback.
Location
Nestled in the heart of KwaZulu-Natal (30min from Pietermaritzburg/80 min from Durban), the uMgeni River valley is a truly hidden gem of South Africa. A landscape that encompasses dramatic gorges, hidden waterfalls, forested hills, and rolling grasslands.
Our safaris traverse Fountain Hill Estate, Cumberland Nature Reserve, and surrounding farmland, offering a unique mix of terrains, with unique and private access to shady riverbanks, open grasslands, rocky trails into gorges, sparkling streams, and secluded pools.​​
